I now have the final cover art and it is amazing. I’ve just given the artist the cover blurb for the paperback, which I plan on doing with Createspace this time as I think I can get the costs down lower. I will do a cover reveal when it’s all titled up. On the proof

Just a quick note to say the sequel is still on track for release hopefully late June/early July. The cover artist has done the preliminary drawings and is working on the full cover. Looks good to me. The manuscript is still at the copy editor/proof reader. Should be back towards the end of this month.
One of the big lessons I learned with the first book was the work doesn’t stop with the writing. And there’s a lot of it. This time round, I’m getting help. While I’m happy enough with the first book’s cover, this time I’ve commissioned an artist to do the cover specifically for the sequel. It
Today I wrote those two words that I am sure every author loves: The End. The first draft of the sequel to The Dark Lord’s Handbook is done. It’s been quite the journey, going places I did not expect, and yet enjoyable. It’s also a good bit longer that the first book. More epic, if
It’s been a year of ups and downs. Progress with the sequel has been good while my heart kept me off the bike. Now the heart is fixed and I’m back in the saddle and just returned from a cycling trip to Mallorca where I got plenty of sun and caught up on many missed
It’s been a week where a lot has happened. My book has made an appearance in Italy on the same day that I had my heart operation. First indications are that both went well. I’m back at home and taking it very easy for a few weeks. I’m taking an enforced break from riding, which

I’m grateful that Mr Fanucci has given me the opportunity for my work to be more widely
It’s been a good six months since my last update and a lot has happened in that time. The main thing is that my cycling was brought to an abrupt halt when I suffered a tachycardia. It sounds a lot worse than it is. Essentially I have an electrical fault in the heart which needs
I ride a lot, so when I pick up an injury I am typically stubborn and try to ride through it. About 6 weeks ago I started having serious problems with my left knee. As a result I’ve been off the bike for two weeks as the ‘riding through it’ cure did not work. Today
I’m putting together the final bits for Createspace and been looking at ISBNs and print costs. If you get an ISBN from Createspace you can’t use the ISBN with any other publisher. Hmmmm. Tempted to get my own. Print costs are so high that at $10.99 you make about 50c. Now the royalty isn’t the
